No, but the service is excellent in a la carte meals
Yes
No.
For the price, the food is not bad but neither is great. The place has a feel more similar to a cafeteria than a restaurant. Last time in the place, I ordered the sancocho soup and it was little salty. The mofongo portion is small. The rice and chicken/beef plates are great.
We enjoyed our meal very much!! The fried chicken is the best in town!! We will definitely be back!!
I love this place. Food is delicious. And the music just reminds me of being back in DR.
Fresh food that tastes amazing. The staff were very friendly.
LOVE IT. GOOD SERVICE AND FOOD
This restaurant gets one stars for the long wait (45 minutes) that a party of two had to wait for. The food will get 2 Stars, the mofongo I had taste burnt like the bottom of a burnt pot and the steak was so so very salty. However empanadas was delicious.
I will preface this by saying that I've never had Dominican food until trying D'Mangu, I'm a huge fan of Hispanic food in general, though. I regret waiting as long as I did because it was fantastic! I had pork that was made in this sauce that was out of this world. Very sweet and savory. I'm so glad my SO talked me into trying it. I will be a regular for sure. Oh, and 2 dinners didn't break the bank and I managed to get so full it hurt to breathe. The value to flavor ratio is off the charts. I'll be back!
Never disappointed anyone eating their food. A bit of homemade stuff for those who like the more traditional style
Great authentic Dominican food! Best in Rochester, amazing flavors!!
Great place! Maybe not so great for me because I'm not Dominican or can't speak Spanish lol.
Great food. Large proportions. Friendly staff. Free close parking. Deli style food ready for pick up and go or eat in.
Yummm.. love th he stewed chicken with yellow rice.
Good food & friendly service. Food is prepared in the moment, so table service is a bit slower.
The food was excellent! I had the Paella for dinner and a flan/cake for dessert. The paella was loaded with muscles, clams, octopus, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Every member of the wait staff checked in on me at least once during the experience. It was a little awkward not realizing I wasn't going to get a final check. After awhile I just went up to the register and discovered that actually appeared to be the normal process. Good to know for next time! There will be a next time because there is so much more I want to taste.
Amazing food! We tried both the chicken mofongo and the fried pork mofongo. Both were delicious, and the portions huge. We took it home, and had dinner the next night. Subtracted one star for the sangria, and our first two wine selections, being unavailable, along with most seafood selections,. But overall a great experience, and we will be back!
Seated quickly, half of the items on the menu were not available. Food came within reasonable time but was seriously lacking. I ordered the Mofongos w/ pork and chicken. Pork was way overcooked and the chicken was under done. The plantain mixture was a bit off, but not bad.My wife ordered a rice dish which was good all around. We were not checked on once during the meal, I would have sent the dish back otherwise. It took close to 10 minutes to receive a box for the rice dish, which indeed, was great. The poor service ruined the entire expierence as we were on a schedule.
First time there food is Great and staff is wonderful. Will definitely be back!!!
Excellent food! Great service
The best in town.
Food was good. The wait took forever like 45 min but I guess was worth the wait.
Fantastic food here. The plantains are phenomenal. I always enjoy getting extra juice on the rice. It was a bit of a struggle to order when I went the first time because I was not sure if how to ask for what I wanted and they kept asking if I was a grubhub driver which was awkward. I've had their food on RITs campus many times and definitely will go back here again.
The Food We delicious I couldn't Eat it All it was so much had 2 Bring the Rest Home
Very good place to go out and eat with the family. I highly recommend others to come out and visit this beautiful family owned business. The service and food are great.
Great first time experience! Will definitely come back to try specialty menu items!
Food is very good. Had pork, w/yellow rice & bith kinds of beans. Also had empañada s and plantain chips. Did not leave hungry by any means :)
Great food. Highly recommend
D'Mangu is primarily the reason is enjoy Spanish food as much as I do. I love how seasoned and home cooked the food is. It gives you that nice Thanksgiving dinner feel everytime you eat here. This location has a bar and larger seating than the rest so you get to enjoy that complete restuarant experience and I love it.
Can't deny this is the best! 🇩🇴 The Mofongo I ordered was amazing! The place looks so clean and neat and the staff is very friendly.
Nice And Lovely Place Nice Delicious Food Here Recommended 100%
Love the food a very nice and clean placed.
It’s was excellent service and excellent food... I was there and I feel like they know me for long time ago.. Thk you for your service
Good place with home made typical dominican food. The servers are very kind!
Food is fantastic. Flavors and portions sizes are great. Definitely order a monfongo while you eat there. Service is pretty good and did not have to wait.
Very friendly staff. The food was delicious. They were very accommodating when I made a special request.
Holy sh** this food is f'ing amazing. Like I really cannot even describe how good the food is here. If you have never had Dominican food before you need to check this place out.I've only ever been during lunch and it seems intimidating at first because they serve cafeteria style, but once you have been through it you will be hooked. Make sure you try their plantains they are to die for. Also if you like spicy at all you have to try their hot sauce.
They make food that will leave you wanting more and more. I was exposed to them after trying their food that they serve on my college campus. Their empanadas are amazing, and their staff are laid back and incredibly friendly. I'm currently doing a low carb diet, and I crave their food more than anything else.D'Mangu is a shining gem in Henrietta. There's not much else to say, just go out and try it.
Excellent Service, good hot foods and selections, nice neighborhood
Great authentic taste!
If you are looking for a good mofongo, this is a good place in the upper Midwest. It had the right amount of garlic and the plantains were not ripe. However, I was disappointed that the mofongo did not contain any chicharron or pieces of fried pork. The fried chicken was seasoned properly and the batter was not too thick. Next time I'm in Rochester, I will be sure to visit here again and try another one of their plates.
First time here. Nice lady at the front counter helped us with choices. Food was great. You won't leave hungry.
Food was really good loved it I'll he going back real soon
A little pricey but good food
The people and the food are amazing!! They stayed open late for us and didnt rush us out...made us feel welcome..
Fast service. Good food. Generous quantities. Great prices.
Overpriced food and mandatory gratuity. Will not return.
Food and service was great also the decore and cleanless was good.
Definitely a great place to eat!
First time eating here was excellent. Idk why I didn't stop by before lol. Food was amazing and the customer service even better. Everyone was so friendly and made sure we were good. Food came out pretty quickly and tasted amazing. Will definitely be coming here more often!
Nicely prepared Dominican food, tasty, large servings and attentive service. Will go again.
I LOVE this restaurant. The Dominican food here is absolutely delicious, full of flavor and quality fresh ingredients. Unlike a traditional sit-down/ server type of restaurant, you walk in and are greeted by a "buffet" of stewed, slow cooked meats, traditional south American yellow rice, fried plantains red and black beans, sauteed vegetables and more. The best part of this place is the meat. Sweet slow-cooked pork shoulder in a thick flavorful sauce always does it for me. They also have a choice of stewed chicken or beef, and occasionally fish. One downside is that most of the meat is cooked with bones, but the resultant flavor is outstanding. The prices are reasonable ($11/plate, $13 with a soda) and you will never leave hungry.
